Publications

Dr. Juan Voutssas-M. is the author of ten books and over forty papers published in Mexico and abroad, as well as several translations into Spanish. He was directly involved in the publishing of the first two data CD-ROMs in Mexico in 1988. During the early 90's, he coordinated the development of 'CD-UNAM' software and with this tool coordinated the edition of over thirty publications, databases, etc. through this media, as a way to publish data for various institutions, obviously UNAM included. He coordinated many on-line publishing projects in UNAM, like the project 'e-journal', in which twenty-six journals were published on-line in full text and open access to the public, and the UNAM main website.

He recently published a website with a selected collection of full text documents developed and/or translated by the Mexican TEAM of the global project 'InterPARES', on the issue of digital archives reliable long-term preservation.
