The student will research trough the literature and the sites listed down below to prepare material for discussion in class about the following: 1 - Major milestones in the evolution of ICT in relation to digital libraries. 2. - Major milestones in the evolution of ICT in relation to digital files. 3. - His knowledge and experience on the subject from work, discussion with colleagues, readings, or projects. |
Description:
To understand the current use of Information and Communications Technology -ICT- in libraries and archives its history and evolution must be studied, in order to understand how we got to the current state of art. This is not the result of random events, but instead, an evolution that can be traced to visualize and understand comprehensively the current stage and also to draw a likely trend in this evolution.
